I remember being excited about being able to mix your own soda at Kmart. We would walk about 4 miles for the fun of making our own mix drinks. Coke and 7 up mixed with Delaware punch etc

Newspapers is a good one. I also miss morning, midday, and evening news. If they report 24/7 they will make up the news if there isn't news.
I miss playing outside, kids being kids, and loud cars that rumble instead of whine. I miss music with strong guitars, and early MTV. I miss the CBS Thursday night lineup with Magnum and Simon and Simon.
I miss not having a phone and email with me around the clock. Mostly I miss civility and being able to disagree with someone without being called names or being thought that I hate them.
I would bet that people who grew up in the 50s and 60s had a lot of fun stuff to say about our generation too though.

Bikes all day every day, bottle rockets wars, turning endless donuts on fresh snow in the school parking at night, all the dumb shite we did that wasn't videoed...you remember things much better if you aren't constantly viewing it from behind a damn phone!
Good NBA Basketball rivalries: Lakers vs Celtics, Bulls vs Kicks.

Concerts like:
Pink Floyd
Rolling Stones
Yes
The Who
Led Zep'
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Iron Maiden
Alice Cooper
Def Leppard
Foghat
Quarter Flash
Dr. John
Joe Cocker...
You know - when people actually played real music and performed live without lip-syncing to their album.

You're really dating yourself here. I doubt if ten people born after 1970 even know what (or how much) that is. Better quality and aroma back then too.

I used to love seeing mob guys with my grandfather in Chinatown Chicago. Not so much these days

Solid move.
Kids today have no idea the shite we went through…calling the girls house, being forced to talk to her mom or dad, etc.

I agree but still would take our days over the doorbell cams, security cams and smart phones.
We would have to dress like a armed robber today just to play ring and run

Yeah, I don't care for the new stuff. It's more of a hard drug.
Pre-2000 pot was something you could ease into. Maybe you passed around a couple of joints while watching a movie, and it really doesn't hit you until 30 minutes in.

Going to school with no fear of being slaughtered.
Going to movies with no fear of being slaughtered
Walking down the street without fear of being slaughtered
Going to church without the fear of being slaughtered.
Basically leaving the house without the fear of being slaughtered.
Only country this happens is the good old US of A!

The JC Penney and Sears Christmas catalogs.
The best available material available at the time...a few pages in the JC Penney Big Book. I sent many soldiers to their deaths due to a few pages in there.
