Old Bastards Question: What do U Miss most from the 70s 80s 90s or think kids will miss

Newspapers, I liked reading the paper ever day. I liked getting the Christmas edition and planning out buying presents etc.
I like living outdoors as a child and being independent. You would be arrested for parental neglect for what our parents did.
Taking to people in person instead of by phone or text. I miss a good argument or conversation
As a lawyer and a person I am just way better in person, you can read the nonverbal cues etc
Going to the office every day. I liked keeping my work life and home life separate. I don’t like working from home.

Being able to hang out at the mall without worrying about getting capped.

Magazines specifically the new magazine smell. Also working to find porn. You felt like Indiana Jones when you found it.

Toys R Us. They used to have a section of expensive remote controlled cars behind glass I’d go look at but never got one

Kids today miss out on what it's like to not have phones and ipads. My childhood was so much better than my kids today. The street was filled with kids playing games and riding bikes. In the summer I never saw or spoke to my parents until dinner because I was gone all day.

We went to FAO Swartz a few times too. The local toy shop is still open in Ocean Springs I think, but walking into a big toy store with your children was special

I miss the days that if I saw a name like Dr. Tess T. Eccles, I'd immediately know it was a troll.
Or if I saw a fat dude in a pic I'd know it was a fat dude and not an ugly fat chick.
I made both of those mistakes today and it had me longing for the days of when I switched from Motorola to a primeco phone.

Plus the snack bars were awesome - the one in chalmette served beer - so dad would drink a couple and then my brother and I would ask for a new toy - and we’d get it

With innovative thinking like that how the hell did they go out of business?
