Or the real coke walked out of the evidence room

Was about to post this. Happens all the time. Hell, it happened right here in EBR District Court. Remember the son of a Judge that was stealing coke from the Clerks office and selling it?

This is an interesting thread. My initial reaction was the cops and probably his own attorney scared the shite out of this dude and he saw no better option. One cannot possibly understand the dude's mental capacity with this limited information either. The idea the dude thought he had purchased actual cocaine did not even cross my mind.

Edit: Damn, I did not think about actual coke walking off either.

45 grams seems like a lot to purchase though and not at least check it out. That would be way more money than a homeless dude would have anyway.

Only thing that makes sense, he thought it was real and that’s why he pled. But how did the test on it take so long that he was able to go through getting a lawyer, pleading, and being sentenced before results came back?!

He likely believed it was real and told his lawyer it was real bc otherwise they’d wait for the crime lab report. Lab reports can often take months depending on the jurisdiction.

Or he didn’t and wanted to get out of jail. Or didn’t want a public attorney going to court. That a plea was gonna be far, far less than if he went to court.

Sitting in jail waiting is far worse than making a deal.

There was a cop in January that falsely tested a guys laundry detergent for heroin and gave the dude trafficking charges.
WTF was he gaining by fricking people's lives up like this?
I mean I "get" corruption, stealing money or drugs to sell from evidence room, and that kind of stuff but this shite is just evil.

I wonder what the street value of a backpack full of powdered milk is, in baking circles.

He runs from the cops because he thinks it's coke.
he clearly was up to something... Think he should still be in jail. You run from cops you deserve what you get

So... why did he plead guilty if he knew it was powdered milk?
the obvious abswer: the cops switched the REAL coke with the baby formula and sold it.

Absolutely. Thats a LOT of money worth of coke for a homeless person to have. No way he thought it was real unless they were using him for a mule. For fake coke. That only way i can come up with him not knowing.

On TV, the cops can just taste and tell it's cocaine.

It’s the opposite. Prison is better than jail
