Ok to throw Super Bowl party when friend already has one?

Sunday night my bud had an AFC Championship watch party. I noticed the Rock Band game and the PS3 near his TV. We used to kill it on that game in college. He said he keeps it out because his nephew likes to play it.
I joked that we should get the band back together for old times sake. Our friends were pleading us to pull it out so we gave in. We did a set over half time and it was like we were right back in college. My bud on the drums and backup vocals and me on the guitar and leads vocals. We didn’t miss a beat. The White Locks were back! I really think everyone enjoyed our halftime show more than the game.
One thing that hasn’t changed since college is the girls still love good musicians. I forgot how easy girls were when you played.
My bud wants to get another gig for us during halftime at our friend’s Super Bowl party. He told us no but we think his wife is making him say no. She can’t stand to see others be a little wild and have a good time. I told my bud if we can’t play then let’s throw our own party.
Would that be a dick thing to do? We have a lot of the same friends and I know most would rather come to our party.

I appreciate you wanting to be funny and putting effort into typing all of that out, but it’s just not a funny schtick, man. I don’t know what to tell you.

There’s an actual real band that plays during the Super Bowl halftime that people would rather watch.

Be careful with this stuff man. I almost went pro on Guitar Hero but OD'd on Mountain Dew. The life isn't for everyone.

That was one hell of a game, if anyone enjoyed yall playing Rock Band for 10 mins over the game, they probably are not that big of football fans.
If the majority of the people want to play Rock Band and your friend isn't going to allow it then I don't see a problem, but yall all sound like geeks.

Seriously though, we always start and end with Maps by Yeah Yeah Yeahs. It’s a fan favorite.
