i cried for the first week out there when i went to bed at night asking myself what the frick am i doing with my life. 20 years later, still here.

You'd be a fired SOB if they caught you throwing a chain these days.
They'd shut the damn rig down and make repairs to the iron roughneck, top drive and such before a chain was thrown.

Ain't nothing else to do but frick, fight and trip pipe out in West TX, Baw.
They have some bad injuries out there, but the only time I saw a man cry was when they buried his daddy 4 states away 10 days into his 21 day shift.

I think he watched Drillers in Louisiana. It's on Netflix about 4 Canadian boys coming down south to work with a drilling company. Drilling company is in Jena. They spend three episodes, out of eight, talking about throwing or spinning chain.

I work frac...but I've had a new hire ask when lunch hour was and what kind of food is served.
