Oil prices plunge again today to 51.18

Louisiana budget is fricked thanks to these idiots tying it to the price of a barrel of oil. Those nitwits tied the budget to $60 dollars a barrel.
On the flip side I'm okay with this because it will force the state to balance the budget in the next Governors race. The projections of oil hitting $43 a barrel after the first of the year though could have a devastating impact on Louisiana.

Idk how I'm gonna get Kahner to his baseball tourneys all over the place now.

$2.17 at Costco in Lafayette.
It was around $2.70 just a few weeks ago.

It's been bouncing between $50-$53 since ~Nov 23. This plunge is not really indicative of much.

And a looming government shutdown. Thank God the children of LA have well run churches to assist them this time of year.

Oil falls on China economic data, output cuts support
Oil prices fell on Friday after China reported slower economic growth, pointing to lower fuel demand in the world's biggest oil importer, although market sentiment was supported by supply cuts agreed last week by major crude producers.
China, the world's No.2 economy, on Friday reported some of its slowest growth in retail sales and industrial output in years, highlighting the risks of its trade dispute with the United States.

It was only 90 days ago that some people predicted near $100 a barrel. That's why it's stupid to tie your entire economy to a highly volatile commodity

Louisiana will always be a joke in comparison to other states. Other states laugh at La today, tomorrow, and yesterday. We a have a clown show administration from the state level down to all local levels. None of those dipshits have any business being in office. They are in these positions because they take advantage of the poor and uneducated and they know how to cater to them. They are not worried about our traffic problem, they are worried about keeping the unemployed... unemployed.

Is that really a big concern of theirs? Doesn't that kind of take care of itself.

When the government gives you phones, cars, housing, and food stamps; who is taking care of who in this situation?

Electing Edwards again in '83 put us on this path. We chose the Alario, Nunez, bloated government, casino corruption payoff path while Texas and Georgia were doing work laying the foundation for massive growth in the 90's and early 2000's.
