Maybe I'll become a fireman.
Which is good because a lot of trucks are gonna mysteriously catch fire soon.

So, this coupled with the virus should yield some dirt cheap flight prices right?
I looked up flights to Chicago for June, $129 per person round trip.

Once my kids finish college, my gaf will significantly decrease.

NB4 all the baws start crying about how everyone should feel bad for them although they have extremely minimal skills, buy 70k trucks, save zero money, and didn’t bother getting an education beyond GED.
Yet you fail to understand the industry employs the shite out of white collar people too.

Lets' hope you O&G baws saved some of that cash from all the flush years, and didn't spend it all on tricked out F250's and Amazon toilet paper.
There haven't been any real flush years since the last downturn.

So Frontier, Spirit and SW ought to be $50?

Yeah if you graduated into this industry any time after mid 2014, your entire career has been pretty doom and gloom. Working yourself to the brink of insanity because there's always the veiled threat of a layoff looming overhead.
Some could even argue as far back as 2009-2010.

I was in college for the crash of 86, remembering how many people I knew went from living high on the hog to completely down and out in a matter of months is still mind boggling. It was way more painful for the folks 20-30 years older many of those never recovered from it. I remember riding down Peters and engineers road seeing place after place locked up....... and my dad mumbling unreal numbers of how much several of them owed him. Heck many small towns in La never recovered from it

Realizing that the overwhelming majority of oilfield workers are blue of collar and red of neck does not equal failing to understand that the industry also employs educated workers as well. There are many more individuals who fit my previous description than do not.

True, but LA baws dominate the field operator arena...go into any oil field in the world and you're going to find a LeBlanc or a Fontenot or a Broussard. That's why it's the go-to stereotype on TD.

Heard that. This will be great for companies who can hire more workers due to overall lower fuel consumption dollars. Not to mention small farms, transportation sectors and Dominos Pizza. This is great news for the backbone of this great nation.

I'm sympathetic, even when I joke about it, but this is about every industry anymore honestly. I haven't had a raise of any kind of 5 years, healthcare costs going up steadily, so my paycheck is lower, but I'm not being too loud about it. Not many seeing lots of growth, at least not around here.

Seriously, I remember in the summer of 08..
I was at LSU then. Made 280 bucks every 2 weeks during semester. I couldnt afford to go see my girl friend more than twice a week because she lived 11 miles away. I drove a Corolla.
