The sad part is that a couple of their "demands" aren't terrible. It's just mixed up in so much SJW bullcrap that it's all meaningless.
Two things stick out to me. The transparency of the budget, sounds good. Though isn't it already public record? They're probably just too dull to find it the proper way. Hiring people to help explain the budget to the average student when you think there are budget problems is completely counter-intuitive.
The Comprehensive Energy Management Project seems sketchy though. Selling the current university owned and run power facilities to a private company, and then buying the power from that company. Buuuut, it appears that there were already multiple public meetings on this to address concerns about it, so tough shite.

The only way I could have seen that being handled better is if he would have said "I'm asking you to leave right now, you are in violation in x code of conduct." No one leaves and then he says ok you were given a chance and kapow police arrests and they expel everyone in the room.
