Yep, numbers updated today. OP IS FULL OF shite and FAILS AT READING.

No it was a poorly written article.
Posted on 4/4/20 at 12:02 pm to tiger91
Not really. The article was written in the context of nursing homes. OP came in with a narrative/world view and read into it what he wanted to make an inflammatory rant.

Are you fricking kidding me? Just started wearing masks? How much more irresponsible could they be?
Some hospitals didn't start a strict visitor policy until AFTER we were already on stay-at-home orders.

The nursing home list collected by the department of health is public record. If you want the list they were maintaining, you can seek those records.

Does this mean Gov. Honor Code will stop breaking into TV broadcasting every afternoon too?

they stopped reporting and including the numbers from a few major military bases i am aware of.... citing national security stuff...
i agree with not identifying where and how many armed forces have the virus. But you could include them in the national count without specifying they are soldiers.

Staff finally started wearing masks last weekend so I guess they figured out they were the ones bringing it in at this point
CMS/LDH/LNHA didnt update universal precautions to include gloves and masks until this week so most were following their lead unless they had a positive case. Also supplies are being diverted to high risk populations/ hospitals so even if they order more gloves and masks they aren't guaranteed to get them. Most companies are having to make their own washable masks and gowns to avoid that problem.

I think they should publish the names of the dead so that I would know if I had any contact with that person and should get tested.

By Friday, health officials said the volume of homes made it too difficult to report the names of individual facilities.
This is complete bullshite. I work in senior living. Any facility with cases, even suspected, is required to have direct communication with LDH. This is 100% a result of big money lobbying for anonymity to maintain admissions and occupancy. We are still admitting, even accepting persons from facilities with known cases of COVID-19. All new admissions and/or Persons returning from hospitalization are placed under quarantine for 14 days as precaution.

36 more ventilators than yesterday. 19 more admits to hospital since yesterday. That said admits went from 143, 141, 68, 19 (numbers reported starting April 1)
And yes, 39 additional deaths.
409 death
571 on vents
1726 in hospital

What area are you in? We're region 4 and we're not admitting from what I've been told. I'm working from home but am in touch almost daily.

I’m ARCP-Level 3 in LCH. Multiple new move-in‘s this past week and accepting transfer from community with confirmed case next week. Approved by LDH.
My request to work from home was denied. I have a two week old at home so I had to move out.
ETA: and we are not equipped with supplies. We have a three day supply of PPE. Won’t receive additional supplies until a case is confirmed. Having difficulty even getting thermometers for visitors screening. For the first several days, we were disinfecting a disposable sleeve and reusing.
