I don't think the US is the target.
As for attacking China, Israel, Europe etc I think it's pretty dumb to hijack a plane and store it away for a future attack. I would think terrorism 101 would be to attack when countries aren't on high alert.
I'm sure spies from every country are trying to infiltrate any possible area the plane could be to tip off its movements.
If they had wanted to hit china why not just take normal flight path to Beijing and then crash it?

Because new information came out today about instrument data. There is concern about Malaysia over national security. They don't want anyone to know the capabilities of the intelligence gathering and with good reason. They didn't want to share what they knew but once they started cooperating then other countries could use their assets to better assist.

So we are all now in 100% agreement that this is the working of Uighur Muslims and they are going to use the jet against China by taking off again and following the tail of another jet into a major city and setting off a nuke?
Or maybe it was Isreal or the US that a regular filthy arab was going to go after with this plane or by buying a 737 used.

If I had to put a dollar on the plane's path. They crossed land over Burma. Probably right through the middle of Burms so as to reduce the chances of Bangladesh or Thai radar picking up the plane. Flew low over Burma where that dictatorial government could easily be bought off to ignore a plane for a few hours in the middle of the night.
Then slip it through a gorge in the vicinity of Bhutan who could also be bought off to ignore a plane, or fly it low around the Himalayas and scoot into Tibet and from there either refuel, or go to the Uyghur base area of Xinjang or more likely to an outpost where the Islamic terror groups and sympathetic governments have remote operations. I'd doubt it'd be in Pakistan or Afghan or Kashmir due to the heavy surveillance in that area, but Krygyzstan would be right in the area they say it might be and they've got issues with both Russia and China and heavy Muslim/Turk influences in their government and ethnic tensions that would be sympathetic to the Uyghurs.
