I handle a few plants there. We have been planning since Monday for worst case

I have to head to lake Charles tonight for work at a plant tomorrow. Any idea if/when a decision for plants will be made. I know it is usually work at all costs just with the flooding not sure this time.

Call ahead, maybe you can get in touch with a supervisor or your contact. All projects and maintenance is probably on hold. I'm sure the plant itself is up and running.

Yeah I plan on calling, but I believe they won't make a decision until tomorrow so I guess I'll end up in lake Charles any way.

Kind of have to at this point. Our neighborhood is becoming an ever shrinking island.

Just praying my wife doesn't go into labor until this all passes.

WOW. Good luck, hoping she can keep the little one tucked away for 48 hours.

Not joking. Might want to watch a few youtube vids on home birth. Better to do it now than be holding your phone while she is pushing. People have babies at home all the time. My sister has had all 4 of hers at home unassisted.

In Cinco and all of the drainage creeks and lakes are full and rushing water. The Brazos levels will be higher than last year's floods.

For those that know the area, they are predicting that the flooding from George Bush park could go all the way from the park to 99 in Cinco. Scary

ETA- there is a voluntary evacuation in place for Cinco Ranch and Canyon Lake in that area

Just checking in...I moved to Houston 2 months ago from New Orleans. Thankfully, I made the decision to head to New Orleans on Friday, so I'm safe here and think my apartment is ok so far (washington ave area).

Been checking all the instagram stories and Snapchat map stories. Insane images and videos.
