Houston baws-- is all of Houston drainage gravity or are there areas that pump like in NOLA?

wouldn't be surprised to see some reports of 4+ inches per hour over there in the next few hours.

Updates from around the Heights area in central Houston:

11th and TC Jester the bayou is about to top the bridge

20th and Durham Cedar Creek bar flooded about a foot into the building

5th and Yale white oak bayou backing up to second story of apartment complex

Cottage Grove area flooding into garages

coming in old Cypresswood via Cypress Creek.

It's 4-5 feet deep about 75 yards from our house. We packed bags and moved supplies to the 2nd floor.

I'm NW of Austin, and we're fine - no issues at all. It hasn't stopped raining since early yesterday morning, but no flooding issues.
