This is wild, there is a 10deg spread between both sides of the river

Know what's in between those spots?

All those plants.

And a ton of concrete

I was just about to mention that we have tornadoes in Florida now.

Saw your post a little too late Bobby. That nado is just north of me, it's rowdy outside with the grumblings of the day after a Popeyes meal right now

Why do y'all always have to go against what the rest of us are doing?

I have never seen a winter weather forecast around here so dead on, and I have never seen a boundary hold so steady for almost 24 hours like this one has. Looking at the radar, I really don’t think we are going to end up with any snow here. Might not even have much of a freezing rain issue.

They've done well with this one. Other than favoring snow a little more than a mix for central north AL they nailed it. Sleet all day for me.

I didn't mean "we" as I'm there, just a general "we". I'm in the cold and sleet.

Disappointed on the Birmingham NWS. Haven't updated their graphics since 4:47 AM.
Maybe there hasn't been any need to?

They have posted a couple times today on Twitter

Just realized I tossed most my faucet covers, my main water line is insulated. Is it going to stay freezing long enough in BR to even worry about all of the faucets?

If you were to drive from Natchez to Bogalusa right now, you would experience a 32° temperature drop.

No worries as I don't think observed/confirmed Tornado warnings can be posted too many times

reminds me when I went to Hawaii on vacation when I was still living in rural AK.

Left the Big Island and it was 82 degrees. ~24 hours later it was -22 with a windchill of -44.

Thankfully, I moved out of Alaska shortly after that incident

We had a little over 7 inches here in West TN where I am...Temp 10 degrees.

We got right at 6 inches according to my ruler on my back patio wall. Temp is now 14 degrees.

Wind chills from -5 to -10 tonight, and tomorrow night is supposed to be the "cold" night with a forecast temp now of 0°.

It’s going to be below freezing for almost 16 hours so yes you need to worry.

Do we have a path for that tornado? That's the Becker and 95 exit for a family member. Last text I got from them said power is out

I hope I’ve done enough prep to my pipes. It’s damn cold out there at 18 degrees now.
Fingers crossed. Gonna be some dripping for sure.
