Sports is more than just entertainment bro. It teaches kids some very important life lessons and social skills. Even if they suck at it, kids need sports or something to be a part of.

They better shut it down, instances are not being reported knowingly that can seriously affect large populations in certain parishes...to many idiots in charge!

This kind of inflammatory statement doesn't help.

Were you this upset when it was announced that 1000 people died of H1N1? Are you this upset that 126 young kids have died from the Flu this year? Do you want school canceled for that?

Closing schools, especially elementary school would not make sense. Most of the parents would then send them to daycare. Back to square one

It really is if you consider the fact that they could play in empty gyms with just family, staff, and essential personnel present.

In that the idea is to limit the spread of the disease by eliminating large groups and interpersonal contact, it is.

The individual school boards will not be making the decision. This will come down from the governor.

Agreed. But, considering the overreaching panic going on, it makes sense that sports are being cancelled. And, my posts are about the people comparing cancelling sports to closing schools.
