I’m lucky (or smart?) that my wife is a SAHM.

But people will figure this out pretty quick. It isn’t going to collapse the economy

Have more faith in your fellow citizen.

Schools are administering the ACT on March 17th

you sure about that? maybe you are thinking of some other standardized test? but schools do not typically administer the ACT

Welcome to the 21st. They've been administering the ACT for at least 5 years now around mid-March.

They make plans and have been for years. They have camps and social activities. Summer is expected.

Suddenly quarantining the entire population into their homes for a month is vastly different than summer break. You don’t understand that?

Wait, you said that you were going to work. Which is it?

Are you a dual working household with kids?

We are, but our kids are responsible enough to take care of themselves for a few hours and they can also order anything they want to eat to be delivered.

Sounds like a pretty good business opportunity to me. Somehow, I bet people manage.

That’s nice, but not so easy for those with kids under the age of 5.

An enterprising teenage girl could make a nice chunk of money right now.

I read in a few states the governor or someone was waiving the 180 day rule for schools because of all this cancelling school stuff. In 2016 for the flood, we did not extend the school year at all.

Governor Cuomo just made a great case for not closing schools.
