Saw on Facebook from a couple of my friends from SFD that a female Shreveport police officer was shot multiple times tonight. I don’t know much more than that other because people were not giving any real info other than that.

Shreveport, LA - A Shreveport Police officer was shot Wednesday evening.
It happened just before 8:30 P.M. at Midway Avenue between Bernstein and Linwood Avenues. More than 50 police units responded to the shooting along with more than 10 Caddo Parish deputies.
Shreveport Police Cpl. Marcus Hines says other officers responded to a call of shots fired and discovered the injured officer at the scene.
Police say a person has been detained for questioning. That person has not been arrested.
The injured officer has life threatening injuries and was taken to Oschner LSU Health Hospital. Police Chief Ben Raymond is at the hospital with the officer and her family.
Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins was at the scene but left to join Chief Raymond at the hospital.
The officer who was injured is a female officer who is new to the force. Her name has not been released. Cpl. Hines says the officer was in uniform at the time of the shooting but had not started her shift yet.

Democrat or Republican, this is the type of leadership we need.

So she got into a fight with someone who shot her that wasn’t related to law enforcement activity? Is that what you’re saying?

President of his class at West Point, President of his class at Harvard Law, multiple combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. I have no idea what his politics are, but I'd say he knows a thing or two about leadership.

He's spent the whole first week in office out in the field. Hell do good things for shreveport(considering the mess he's been given)

I knew his resumé. I’ve lived in Shreveport the last few years and was very glad to hear he got elected over that last bum.

To be fair, we don't know everything yet and no arrest have been made even though the obviously responsible party has been detained.
Something tells me there is more to the story. The fact she was a cop is irrelevant at this point.

Yeah. This has the feel of a domestic or personal type of thing.
