Why does everyone always request that? It' like eating a pudding parfait at Bonanza Steak House. Just nasty.

I get the half chocolate half lemon, because in today's America it's important to be inclusive.

You buying the wrong stuff boss. Buy from a bakery, not a grocery.

The people that like it really seem to like it but for me it's not even in the top 10 and I've had it from bakeries. It's something I would eat if that's what is served but not something I would ever choose to get. People have different tastes and that's ok.

Screw you.

My husband has a Gambinos doberge cake shipped in every year for my birthday. I look forward to it every year.

I love doberge but will admit it’s extremely sweet. As a fat boy, I can say it’s one of the only desserts I can only eat a small portion of.

He probably likes that cake as much as you do, but he's still a good man. On the other hand, it would be nice to have one thing that is guaranteed to make your wife happy, so maybe it's an entirely self-serving gesture!

Logistical question:
How is it packed and how well does it travel? A king cake is one thing to ship FedEx, but it seems like a doberge cake would be in a heap when it arrived.

Nothing Bundt Cakes is the best damn cake getting place in town. The only thing that holds a candle to it is the strawberry cream cake at ambrosia

He's a very good man. But I only share the cake at our annual couples' dinner. Any left after that is all mine.

It's wrapped in plastic inside a metal tin. The tin is then packed in a styrofoam container with dry ice packs. The styrofoam container is then wrapped in a fed ex box with 2 day delivery. Elaborate but it always arrives undamaged.

It's expensive due to the packaging and need for overnight or 2 day delivery but it makes my birthday every year.
