Morrison would have been interesting. I think a sobered up Morrison might have even more to offer.

I would trade all of them to have heard Bon Scott on Back in Black (most of the songs which he almost certainly wrote, btw).

John Bonham's death being the end of Zeppelin was a kick in the balls to everyone. We missed out on a lot of great music there.

Rhoads would be an absolute legend if he hadn't died so young. I know he is many peoples minds but most non-guitarist fans don't really know of him.

Hendrix would've been fun to see his progression into different music era's throughout the years.

when I lived in Fl I was driving one morning listening o a classic rock station and some stoner called in and wanted to hear some Hendrix, DJ asked "what would you like to hear?" stoner says "just play some of the old stuff". DJ says "isn't it all old stuff?" would have loved to have seen the look on his face

yep, and I maybe in the minority on this but Terry Kath's death pretty much killed Chicago, imo he's one of the most underrated guitarists out there and losing him really sent them off into a soft/yacht rock spiral

A good friend saw his last concert in North La.
I got to see Jim's son, A. J. while up in Ga. a few months back.

irony was he was just about to chuck it all in and get out off the racket about the time he was killed

From what I've read, this was in part due to the fact that he had a really crappy contract with his record label that he was trying to get out of. In short, it was a negotiation strategy. I just can’t see someone with his talent getting out of songwriting altogether.

Didn't die young. I think he actually died within the last few years.

However, he married his 12 year first cousin, which i guess counts as career suicide?

Riley Gale and Power Trip.

I know it's a newer entry, but I think they were well on their to majorly breaking through before Riley's overdose.
