So my husband just got a voicemail today on his phone from a number he doesn't know that basically said "Hey my name is so and so(iphone coudln't understand the name). Give me a call. I think I found your baby." In a very calm voice. In a tone like someone that accidentally got your mail or something.
What weird ones have you gotten?

An Asian lady left me a VM on Monday saying that she wanted to buy my house. Said her name was Tammy or something like that. A few of my neighbors got the same call

Not even the slightest suspicion? Your husband must have out-kicked his coverage

co-worker called my number by mistake. left a long voice mail about how it's his wife's fault they can't close on a house. spent too much money on bullshite and he's tired of it.
i was like "oh shite". never told the guy he called the wrong number.

A few years ago I had a grandma that kept calling me and leaving me voicemails about how she just missed me and wanted to hear my voice. It wasn’t my Grandma. She probably left me 10 voicemails.
Eventually I recognized the number and answered. She thought I was her grandson. I just played along. I didn’t know what to do. I just hope it made her day.
And I hope she was able to reach her grandson eventually.
I still don’t know if if I did the right thing or tell her it was the wrong number. Maybe she quit trying to call her grandson after she talkes to me?

Had a guy that I used to work with call me up drunk one night and leave a VM. He had recently been let go from the job we were at so he wanted me to tell my boss and other supervisors he was going to kill them next time he saw them. After that he happily invited me to come hang out with him in Colorado. Totally bizarre

Not voicemail, nor did it happen to me directly, but once after a night of tripping acid over at a Hispanic friend's house, his landline rings at around 6 AM while we're playing poker trying to come back down to earth. Short convo, he seems vaguely weirded out but no big deal. We ask what's up, he says someone just called about "some people." "We have your people ready."
The phone rings again maybe 10 minutes later and he angles the phone where me and my buddy can hear it. Same message. "We have your people ready" in a thick Hispanic accent. My friend explains again that he must have the wrong number and hangs up.
We joked about his parents funneling illegals into the country, but the vibe of the call was super creepy. Always wondered what weird shite his family was into after that.

My number is very close to the Walgreen’s number and I get wrong number calls all the time. My voicemail box even has a warning that I’m not Walgreen’s and I’ve still had people leave messages wanting their prescriptions filled. This Walgreen’s is in the hood so you get and idea of what kind of people are calling me.
Anyway, some old black dude calls and leaves a voicemail that sounds like he was trying to call 911. Just moaning and going “oh Jesus. Jesus. Oh Jesus oh Jesus oh Jesus.” I still wonder if I should have called the cops to report someone who was potentially ill, had fallen, etc.

Right after I moved from Oxford I got a voicemail from a girl who was bawling and kept saying she wa pregnant and the baby was mine. Never said her name just to call her back.
Thankfully, my wife and I had started dating a few months prior and I new I was in the clear. But there was still a minute of panic.

Had an old lady buy a set of sofas from me off a Craigslist posting. She left me a couple voicemails that were so funny that I purposefully ignored her calls just to acquire more voicemails.

He’s smart. Show you upfront so you don’t find it later. Very smart.

I got a voicemail saying to return a garbage can once. That was weird.
