The Book of Chicken has foretold of great tribulations for neighbors.

"Usually" yes, but there are Evangelicals who do subscribe to this nonsense. I dont know the relevance of "mainstream" or not since every Evangelical church pretty much has a different opinion. I would even say anyone who subscribes to the Left Behind series or Rapture theology fits into the same camp since the whole rapture prophecy and eschatology originates from a "vision" of a 15 year old girl named Margaret MacDonald in the 1800's. The main verse used to substantiate the claim is 1 Thess 4:17 but when read in context speaks about the resurrection of the body of all the believers; not about some pre-second coming before the actual second coming where a few are taken up. The only other verses come from Matthew 24:15-28 which Luke 17:31-37 seems to mirror and it speaks of those running to the mountains to escape the tribulation which in context is speaking of the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem in 70AD mentioned earlier in verses 1 & 2. If they were escaping the destruction of the whole world it wouldnt matter if they ran to the mountains and it wouldnt matter if it was winter, If they were being raptured.
Sorry for the rant.
Sorry for the rant.

The apocalyptic preachers are just as bad as the apocalyptic climate change alarmists. "Follow me or the world will end" -- the problem is not the con artists per se, it's the collective ignorance and weak stature of all those who succumb to it.

Look Up to the Sky for Signs this October 9th... On October 9th the sky is a picture of the Book of Revelation! The writing is literally in the stars on the very night scripture points to, in the very year 5 independent prophecies provide exact year counts from known historical events. We are dedicated to warning everyone as the Bible instructs and have prepared a video that explains the signs, the prophecies, and the coming fall of the world’s leading empire in a single hour. You must check out the evidence for yourself! And always pray that you are counted worthy to escape all these things!
I bet it’s going to be cloudy… damn it!

The “we are being programmed” people could probably fill you in once they finish up with the foil.

As I originally stated, Nothing.

Gotta fills that collection plate. Many people think you can buy your way into heaven, like magazine subscriptions increase our chances of winning publishers' clearance house drawings.

I’m betting you be hard pressed to find an Evangelical church with more than 20 people in attendance that is out there setting dates for the end of the world.

Most Christian’s who enjoy those stories understand that this is fiction based on one writer’s interpretation of Revelations and are not in the same category as the bearded dude in Costco’s parking lot that is more concerned about your salvation than his own hygiene.

I’ve seen plenty of sunrises after the end of the world

o they’re saying I don’t have to pay off my Amex this month?
I wouldn't. I would use that money to travel to Wyoming with whatever possessions you can fit in a vehicle. I would find a home in the wilderness that is already stocked with an underground bunker. Kill the Man of the house there, enslave the women and children on site, and move underground until 10/10. Then come out and start a new population... with all Child bearing aged women.
But I don't have an AMEX so I will just stay here and pray for the best.

Anyone who thinks they can put a countdown clock to the exact time of the end times is an idiot
But it will happen one day when people least expect it and probably a lot sooner than people think
