It only bothers me when I have to hear their fanatical stories about the trips, usually more than once.
One of the couples will use any excuse in a conversation to bring up the topic. I could walk into the room holding a mouse that a cat killed and it would immediately turn into a story about "Mickey's House".

First trip my son was 14 months. He had fun, but nothing special. We weren't there for him, we brought people to help watch him, and he was free.
He was about to turn 3 when we went last year for Wine and Dine. That was awesome.
He'll be 4 when we go this January for Dopey. We're all looking forward to it.

If they rip, you can exchange them at any store for a new one...
We borrowed some from some friends, but when they used them last, they didn't let them dry out all the way when they put them up and they stunk like shite..
So we brought them to one of the stores and they replaced them...

Yeh, I am sure I have "hobbies" or interests that neither one of them are interested in at all and I am decent enough not to bore them with discussions about it every time we are together.

Crowd calendars are your friend in this situation. We went for Halloween a couple of years ago and walked onto every ride.

We are taking the kids, 3 1/2 and 5 1/2, in February. Will be our first time. Going for three days. Kinda dreading it, but I know the kids will have fun.

Several years ago when Rascals had just gotten to Disney World was about the same time that Disney started selling those big turkey legs. About 1 in 10 people looked like this:

I have done it with my son and daughter and will do it again for my other son. Sure they will not remember much if any but the shear joy on their faces when they see their favorite characters is priceless. It may not mean a lot when they don't remember it later on but for them at that time of their life, it means everything. As a parent I swore to do whatever I could to give my kids as many happy moments in life as I could and will continue to do so.

This isn’t true anymore. Disney has learned to fill the dead space with marathons, conferences, cheer/dance competitions, etc. Then, when they know it’s a slow vavction time in the US they offer crazy discounts to the UK or South America. Disney is always packed now. All you have to do is a few hours of planning, book the fast passes and when you’re in the park don’t stop trying to get fast passes. They almost always open up. My family hasn’t waited in a line in years.

Busch Gardens gives you 2 free beers per ticket purchased for each person over 21. They also have much better rides and the African wildlife is badass. I held a cub tiger there once.
