I would think spending money at DW for six days is not cheap.

Do Dave's vacation club rentals.
They are pretty hard to come by for when we normally go. We used the 30% room only AP discount that came out a few months back and that saved us a good chunk of change.

Yeah better rooms at a lower cost.

Is the Boardwalk Inn a deluxe resort? It is on my bucket list to do a deluxe at some point but I can't justify paying THAT much money when Disney is already so expensive.
It was not cheap but well worth it for us. This was our trip to celebrate finishing the house after the flood.

I would definitely pay the extra to be able to walk to Epcot and be about as close to Hollywood Studios. The only time I can go is peak season though so the cost is just too high. When I retire and can go during off times and get the better deals then it will definitely be one of the places I try.

Wow, fat shaming. I really thought we were better than that around here.
From one smartass to another, I like your style.

Children under 3 get in free and you can bring your own food for the child and yourself. Also, the strollers are a great way to pack all your stuff so you don't have to rent a locker. I know of some people that use a stroller at the parks and don't even have children.

Our room was right below the Innkeepers Club/ Club level area. There was a sitting area that was open to the 4th floor and we had to smell all the wonderful things that were being cooked up there each morning and evening. We are saving up and watching for deals to give this a try next time. The real down side of getting that kind of treatment is never wanting to go back to the value/moderates again.

We spent two days at Epcot this weekend and Saturday night was perfect. Walked to the boardwalk and watched the LSU game at the espn zone. Most of the restaurant was LSU fans.

We were there for the Syracuse and Troy games. There is usually a very large contingent of LSU fans on at Disney. We wear our LSU gear in the parks on Game day and get a lot of Geaux Tigers! This year was rougher than most and I got heckled by a cast member on the college program from Moo St. She was a lot of fun.

As far as the scooters, no one here seems to realize that people in scooters no longer get to skip to the front of the lines anymore.
This was the only thing that bothered me about them. One person on a scooter and 5 other family members getting to go to the front of the line. We go every other year, and there does not seem to be near as many scooters as 5-8 years ago. We also like to go in the summer so there's not as many obese people because of the perceived heat and humidity. The elderly and other people that are clearly in need of the scooter are no problem at all. They know the drill getting on and off the bus and the bus drivers do a good job helping them on and off quickly.
