I went to my niece’s softball game at a ballpark where there were also other softball games being played
I was horrified at the amount of softball girls that were extremely over weight - morbid obese
It was shocking
This has to be from the fertilizers and shite they put in our food

As someone who went from 237 to 165 (under max weight for height in the Marine Corps) in 2016 (keto) and have kept it off. It is a fricking choice to be fat. And my job is whatever job requirement is less active than sedentary. Don't get me wrong, that funnel cake thread was no fun, but I made my choice. I will save it for a cheat day.

Most bad things that happen to us are choices, but then people would complain about living a bland and boring life. What would our collective health be if there were no cigarettes, alcohol, recreational drugs, gambling and unhealthy food?

Who cares if Barbra from accounting wants another Twinkie?

Saying obesity is a choice is like saying alcoholism is a choice or junkies choose to do drugs. People that say those are choices have been passed by with the last seventy years of science. Nobody wakes up and says they choose to be obese or alcoholic or a junkie.
Are you really trying to say people don’t choose to sit on the couch and eat junk food instead of exercising a little and eating a little healthier? You are slapdick retarded

Why do you knuckle draggers worry about the fatties so much?
Because healthcare is a right and the fatties cost $$$.

Because the federal government is subsidizing their poor health choices and the tax payers are on the hook

i don't really car about any particular individuals that are obese. but at a macro level, it does affect everyone that isn't obese insurance premiums.

The fact that people sit around stewing over obese land whales just makes me laugh my arse off.

I got bad news for anybody that wants to blame the obese for their high health insurance premiums......we could transform into a nation of Crossfit competition champions, and those damn insurance companies are still gonna drain yer arse. Fat people are an easier target for your frustration. I choose to focus my ire on the attorney/legislator class who actually create/maintain the problem, they sold the country out decades ago and these parasitic organizations just profit year after year while the plebes argue over which "candidate" from this or that "party" will save "us" from "them"

You didn't consider height and that different humans base metabolic rates don't burn at the same rate.
I've seen lots of fatties (not all of them) put in way more exercise than a thin person eating the same amount.
One human body does not burn at the same rate as others. Doctors generally don't know as much as they want us to think they know.
"Science" is not nearly as science-y as the science religion wants us to think it is.

really its the getting off on moral superiority that gets them in these threads.
Dude, we can't even have a thread about cars without the high and mighty commenting baout how they haven't bought a new car in 20 years.
I miss the 80s when wealth was a flex and people weren't proud of mediocrity.

Because you worthless fat fricks take up useless medical care, space on airplanes, and drag down society as a whole. The youth is doomed. Fatties need to be ostracized and bullied to no end like they used to.
Get some discipline in your life fat fricks.
Anyway

Exercise doesn’t burn nearly the calories the average person thinks it will. Exercise is important for health, but it’s less important for losing weight than…
Eating less. I noticed in your post that thin people and overweight people are “eating the same amount”. That’s the problem. The thin person isn’t trying to lose weight; they are consuming enough calories to maintain their weight. If the overweight person eats the same amount as the thin person, they will likewise maintain their current weight.
This isn’t coming from a place of judgment. But it’s not helping anyone to focus on the fact that the two people are eating the same amount now and ignoring the years that one of them spent eating more.

The point of the post is how hard it is to eat 2,500 calories. And I used a sedentary 40 year old female in the calculation, so pretty low metabolic rate and activity level

Are you with them all day and watch what they eat until they go to bed?

The point of the post is how hard it is to eat 2,500 calories if you eat whole food. It’s pretty damn hard and uncomfortable. The biggest problem with obesity is people are eating the wrong things. If they made the right decisions at the grocery store most of the problem would solve itself.
Is everyone going to be shredded? No but there aren’t going to be 600 lb people in this world. That’s basically impossible on a whole food diet.

Yep. Ozempic proved this.
People are losing weight at insane rates. They aren’t exercising at all. Ozempic is only making them feel full so they eat less. The same could be accomplished with discipline.
