According to ChatGPT
quote:
On TigerDroppings, particularly in the OT Lounge (Off-Topic Lounge), an "OTer" (short for Off-Topic-er) is a regular user who frequents and engages in the Off-Topic section of the forum. The characteristics of an OTer typically include the following:
1. Distinct Posting Style
Sarcastic and Witty: Humor is king. Posts are often laced with dry wit, sarcasm, and layered jokes.
Short and Direct Replies: Responses are often brief, sometimes cryptic, and rarely sugar-coated.
Heavy Use of Memes and GIFs: A cultural language of its own.
2. Strong Opinions (Often Trolling)
OTers don’t hold back. They express opinions on everything from politics to Popeyes vs. Chick-fil-A.
Trolling is common—pushing buttons is part of the game.
3. Familiar with Board Culture
References to long-running inside jokes, OT lore, and infamous posters.
Use of terms like:
“RA’d” (Reported)
“Anchored” (Thread closed by mods)
“Baws” (A term of endearment or mock respect)
“Pics?” (A demand for photo proof, especially in threads about women)
4. Anonymous but Memorable Personas
Posters usually maintain a consistent persona, but few reveal much personal info.
Some become “board-famous” through consistent posting, controversies, or meme-worthy behavior.
5. Degenerate but Loyal
OTers pride themselves on being slightly unhinged—embracing lowbrow humor, NSFW threads, and controversial topics.
Despite the chaos, there's often a strange sense of community, especially in long threads (e.g., weather events, job loss support, or breaking news).
6. Mistrustful of Outsiders
New posters or “alts” (alternate accounts) are treated with suspicion.
Anyone not familiar with OT culture is quickly tested (or roasted).
7. Peak Activity Hours
OT is particularly active during work hours, suggesting many OTers are desk-bound professionals with time to kill.
Bonus Traits
Quick to derail threads with unrelated jokes or tangents.
Disdain for the Poli Board (politics board), but may cross over to stir the pot.
Obsession with SEC football, especially LSU (TigerDroppings’ origin).

The average poster here makes $250k a year and has a stay at home wife.
The average poster here weighs 250, is over 60, is in crippling debt, with a fat fugly wife, and lies about it on the internet to make themselves feel better.

The average poster on the OT has a much higher opinion of himself/herself than is justified.

How'd you do against Bob the Terrible?
He was prone to ear-bite, IIRC.

Lots of political “centrists” who coincidentally only seem to agree with liberal talking points.
No, that hasn’t been my observation of what happens.
I’ve observed that if those centrists/moderates view even one issue objectively and think about the facts before automatically siding with the conservative/Republican side, the Republican side becomes offended and brands them as “closet liberals”.
Most people on the liberal/Democrat side tend to do something very similar, unfortunately.
I just wish that more grown-arse adults on both sides could think logically, rationally, and independently without becoming irrational and emotional the minute that someone disagrees with them on one issue.
