Iris is now the largest krewe.
A lot of the young riders left Nyx for Iris last year. Nyx's membership is very hit or miss.

Yeah, Nyx also tried to do a 2nd parade in July for some odd reason (maybe so the head of Nyx could pay off her car faster). But almost no one wanted a parade in July and so that idea went away.

Yep. But the mayor Nyxed the idea after the head of the parade publicized it. The mayor denied them a permit and said it would cause too many issues with security, etc. The head of Nyx said they wanted to have a 2nd parade for those members who felt that carnival season was too far away. They wanted to say they were the first krewe to have 2 parades. It was all pretty odd.

Women shouldn't be allowed to parade. It's a sad statement of the current situation in NOLA. If I were Latoya, I'd send them women to the suburbs, Kenner, the Dirty D3ll, terry parkway. Save the city for the old line boys

Iris was the biggest last year.
Nyx is the biggest this year.
They are basically letting every single person who wants to join get on in hopes of becoming a Super Krewe and being able to move to a better spot.

Thoth, maybe not so much, but Endymion and Bacchus are probably exclusive as hell because you have to be rich to join.
