There’s plenty of vitriol spewed from both sides. There’s some folks on the other side who have been absolutely itching to start another Civil War. I know I’ll get downvoted for saying it. But it’s the truth.
Everyone has contributed to the shitty discourse that has created a gap that I fear won’t be crossed in civility anytime soon.
Curious who is saying that and what terms they're assigning to the left.
Because it is not hard to find hundreds of instances of "the right" and it's voices being labeled as authoritarian, nazi, fascist, genocide (relative to the trans population), destroying democracy, ad nauseam from those institutions I mentioned in my previous post. That's what I'm talking about...the constant stream of that from the most influential channels is what creates this.
Add in things like "silence is violence" and basically "words are violence" and you're equating things that are literally nonviolent with actual violence. So in the mind of an impressionable and likely mentally ill person...if I misgender you, you killing me is acceptable retribution.

She’s 100% correct.
I thought it was very profound that 80% of the people on my 12 person team at work in Dallas didn’t know who Charlie Kirk even was.
Social media/MSM allows the rhetoric on both sides to seem so much more pervasive than it actually is. The reality is Charlie Kirk has a strong following sure but the assassination to me suggests to me the perception from this kid and other folks that might celebrate this think his ideology is so much more pervasive than it actually is.
End of the day, a guy with a family got murdered in front of a lot of innocent people, some who may have been there to debate with him.
And another family and this kids life are over/ruined in nearly the same fashion when it’s all said and done.
Most people don’t give a shite about either sides of these extremes.
The manufactured fracture is what terrifies me the most.

Except one side it is mainstream. The current Republican electorate is basically to the left of 2008 Obama.
I will not accept this argument because it isn’t true. One side has gotten more radical and violent.
And that’s fine, that’s your opinion. We’ll have to agree to disagree. I realize I’m in the minority here and that’s fine.
I simply don’t want to see people dead over their politics or their rhetoric. Even if it’s hateful rhetoric. I don’t want to see a “Civil War”. I’m old enough to have seen political violence in my own backyard.

Apparently these kids are being radicalized in college. Its something we need to look at and deal with.
This is exactly what Charlie was attempting to do. We really lost a patriot, he didn’t just go on the 24 hour news channels and blab about what we needed to do. He identified what he saw as a problem, and took action himself to change it.
I just saw a video recently of him speaking about Joe Biden targeting him and trying to put him in prison.
That administration really needs to face some type of justice for targeting their political enemies and trying to arrest them. Exactly what they said trump would be evil and tyrannical if he did it.

A lot of book smart people don't possess a lick of common sense.
And that is the case here.

It seems mildly obvious this dude wasn’t super concerned with getting away with it. Or he’s just an idiot, possible.
Part of this nonsense is martyrdom which stems from some degree of internal identity crisis which these rhetorics fill a huge hole in many very empty people.
I can’t be masculine, I should be masculine, I’m supposed to get the girl, I don’t get the girl, I’m supposed to be rich like all the people on instagram, I’m not rich. It’s just general immaturity, entitlement and an inability to live in the world and separate the false stimulus they’re become addicted to vs real stimulus and satisfaction.
I 100% blame social media and our societies inability to reconcile the danger and the impact it’s having on people.

Makes sense. During the presser earlier, they said he was talking to family recently about Charlie coming to pass and how he spreads hate etc

Who has the right assassinated lately?

Very strange how his fists are clenched in the Trump/Halloween picture and in the pics from the stairwell on Wednesday.
