I will look again. My browser’s anti-tracking & fingerprinting setting is partially “breaking” their site right now, and I might be overlooking a link to that timeline on the site.
Also, I didn’t say it was a random press release. It was a social media post - at least per https://www.al.com/news/birmingham/2023/07/smart-courteous-carlee-russell-left-imprint-on-alabama-police-department-before-going-missing.html
It just got picked up by the news.
Regardless Harpersville PD social media posting probably should have just included that they did volunteer work together instead of saying they got to spend some time with her as “She was handling some business in the Town of Harpersville yesterday” and then throw in “We were able to tell her how much we thought of her and that she would do well in life” and so on.
That last part was self serving. Beginning of that part also starts off similar to those thankful to have said something to a person as they will not get the chance to tell that person again.

What car? There is no other car in the video. If the police believed she was in the car headed to Mexico there would be a BOLO put out with the vehicle description. Also that’s a pretty specific location to be headed when police have virtually no leads to go on

Her story was just on OP live….
Sounds like the police think she was abducted.
But who knows. That may be the best route to get bystander accounts.
Also the video they showed looked night-visionish. It was much clearer than the pictures earlier in this thread when people were fighting about if there was/could have been a car.
I think they could have easily seen an additional car but they never showed it, which was odd.

There is no grey suv. There is a grey/ tan Toyota Tacoma at mile marker 12 that as of last night was parked/ abandoned on the side of the road a half mile back. I saw it with my own eyes. We’ve all watched the video dozens of times. You can’t make one appear on video when it’s clearly not there. There’s no tail lights, break lights or interior lights shown in the video indicating another vehicle was there.

The traffic cam seems like the child on the interstate was bogus. Her car slowing down as it did isn't congruent with trying to help an abandoned young child

The more I think about this and dig, not much here passes the smell test. Something is off and fishy about this whole thing.
