This is what many middle class folks feel. I feel the same way
I also feel for the African American that did everything right, and yet are called uncle toms and crap like that because they assimilated better than others.

Exactly.
I've thought of it as similar to the vitrol that people get for walking the union picket line.
It's like they get personally pissed if anyone of their race actually does elevate themselves because it is proof that it can be done, as opposed to being impossible because of the "system."
Similarly, the attacks on "turning your back on the culture." Oh, I'm sorry, what culture? I thought we were told that the violence in black communities were because your "rightful" culture was stripped from you by the white man. Which is it?

It could be argued that American chattel slavery was the best thing that could have happened for the sun-Saharan African race, in the long run. Evolutionarily speaking.
Otherwise, they are confined to subsistence living in Africa and don’t spread their genetics to anywhere else.
The African slave trade was truly the greatest American tragedy.
Just think, we could have imported Irish, or Eastern Europeans...would have totally changed the country

Let's be honest -- our founding fathers screwed this country by using slave labor. They were lazy. Had they plowed their own fields and actually employed labor, we woudn't be dealing with all this garbage we are dealing with now. It's unfortunate but a reality.

Slavery really screwed things up.
Just think, without it, blacks never have to deal with slavery and get to stay home in Africa (although they are slaves there too, so...)
But here...in America? They could have imported European immigrants to do the work (Like already happened, except on a larger scale)
No civil war. A New Europa.

Sounds like she needs a job. She can come work for me at my house. Cleaning, gardening and other labor-intensive tasks await her. I won’t pay her and she’ll have to sleep in the shed outside.

I think that blacks would have been 1-2% of the population due to immigration. However, African immigrants kick our (slave blood) asses in every measurable category, so it would have been a less dysfunctional population.
