Newsflash: At present, there actual humans being sold for their physical abilities in Eastern Africa. There are women and young girls as young as three years old being sold into sex slavery all over the world. So what are you doing to combat this atrocity in your life right now?
My guess, absolutely nothing. Just typing on your keyboard, playing the card of some enlightened "woke" martyr that in actuality isn't doing jack shite for "the cause" except being a complete
obtuse slapdick .

He raises a good question though. Given the central role that slavery plays in your life (you think about it daily after all), what are you doing to help combat the slavery that is currently taking place in Africa and the Middle East?

you think the west wouldn’t have succeeded without slavery? By far the worst thing our ancestors did was import slaves here. It was a terrible, awful decision of greed that we are paying for to this very day.
I wish all the slave ships would have sunk.
But let’s not be naive and act like that because some slaves stacked some bricks and chopped some sugar cane that the West was somehow incapable of functioning without them.

Except the point goes away when you realize pretty much everyone everywhere had slavery at some point.
At least "whites" created something great with the evil, and forcefully went away with it.
As opposed to shitholes around the world that still have it to this day, and they didn't create a damn thing with it but misery.

Credit for what exactly?
Its not like modern American promanice had anything to do with slavery, we started to make ripples on the world stage around 50 years after its removal.
At the time? It was mainly localized in a place where income disparity was the largest in the US. Furthermore, whatever benefit they may have incurred was completely destroyed in the Civil War and Reconstruction so profoundly that the effects are still present today.
Not saying they are to blame for that obviously...but the point remains any "contribution" they gave was destroyed, and therefore irrelevant to the discussion.
Slavery played a role in our history, yes.
Saying that we built what we are on their backs is revisionist SJW bullshite.
That dubious honor of exploited individuals are the immigrant/refugees from Ireland/China/etc.

Without a doubt. I don't think anyone uses that to excuse slavery happening, but they use it as an excuse to tell others to get over slavery.
Kind of sucks for those people when their grandparents might have been enslaved in the country.
Like telling Jews to just get over the holocaust.

Thanks. My original goal was to talk with Fr33 because it normally is entertaining. It was really just a blessing in disguise that everyone wanted to defend slavery while not defending it.
