There’s a shortage in general

Yeah the ones here in atlanta have been out

3 packs of their chicken would be like 20 lbs of yardbird

This what idiots don’t get. God help the third world. By June, we are going to know of the mass starvations.

You can thank Facebook and people like my in-laws who went out and bought an extra freezer and probably a hundred pounds of meat because of hearing there's going to be a shortage.
Mind you, they'll eat out about 10 times a week once this lockdown is over

They’re not the ones that are going to be affected about this. A guy in India trying to support his family of 5 living previously living on 3 bucks a day is going to starve to death on this. The whole family. Things are going to turn nasty internationally.

I’ve actually wondered about this kind of thing when Karens bitch about “its only the economy, it’s not as important as saving lives!”

It's about to be summer and it'll fresh garden vegetables with a tithair of meat as lagniappe until fall.

India has about 192 million cows wandering around.

They aren’t eating meat anyway, grains shouldn’t be affected too much by this

No, they don’t eat cows. They eat meat there and their economy is dependent on that fact.

I went to east berlin when the wall was still up. The shops had one of everything but you could buy it.

Um, no. There are shortages here because huge plants are being shut down because 2 workers test positive or because the employees will make more sitting at home. Neither of those things will happen in 3rd world countries.

India shutdown their meat processing plants?
Posted on 5/1/20 at 10:33 pm to OMLandshark
What? We ship beef and chicken to India?
Posted on 5/1/20 at 10:34 pm to OMLandshark
Is this where we act outraged about GMOs as well? Seems to fit.

Not that I’m aware of, but what happens when we stop investing in them? It’s happened, and it takes a while for someone to starve to death.
