Even New Orleans East looked pretty clean. Guessing JBE never had the interstate cleaned when he was governor.

i can assure you that is your perspective. there has not been an emphasis on the state level of keeping the roads clean.

I saw a litter of half a dozen puppies on the side of the highway

Does that count as one piece of litter or six?

Be careful how you answer, it's important.

I don’t know about the interstates but I promise the litter on the back roads is strong as ever.

Litter is what sets Louisiana and the Deep South from the rest of the country. Just so happens we have a demographic of really trashy people that aren’t in other parts of the country

I’ve actually seen the grass cutting crews picking up trash. I came off the high rise one day and saw people bagging trash and almost wrecked the truck.

It is a simple matter of pride, of which, Louisiana is desperately lacking.
As an example, the out of bounds on the golf course that I play and which I spend a lot of time in looking for my golf ball is full of trash. But, I had the pleasure to play a course in Florida a few weeks back and could not find one piece of litter.

Other prime examples are the curbs at stop lights and the ditches along most highways.

But, littering is not genetic. It is learned. When a kid sees a parent littering, it is not surprising that the kid will emulate his role model and do the same.

Bingo. Lack of pride which starts because of the lack of home training.

I can assure the people in this state will continue to litter.

The uneducated, government -owes-me bunch is the problem. It's not the people picking up, it's the people who throw shite out.

This right here is a case study of how partisanship can influence how satisfied you are with local government. I assure you, government is still shite

1) I can't fathom the level of trashiness one is on to just casually toss a Route 44 cup out of their window

2) There is absolutely no reason they can't have prisoners that have 2-5 year sentences out picking up litter on the highway

I have had windshield replaced and/or repaired 6 times in 3 years because of.the debris between NO East and downtown NO.

I called DOTD to complain because I just got a letter from Like a Bad Neighbor raising my deductible for too many comprehensive windshield claims.

It has nothing to do with Jeff Landry.

We should all call.DOTD and demand roads without flying debris that are safer to drive on.
