That’s what I figured.

Don Carters was pretty good in the late 80’s. Pretty good birthday parties. Went there a couple of years ago and the place was now a weird mix of 80’s and early 2000’s. lol Newer computers but the carpet was the same. New arcade sucks. Old arcade was GOAT.

Worked one summer at the BR Celebration Station in college. Those kiddie go carts were a death trap. They could never get the governors on them right and you ended up with 4 carts (driven by 12 year olds) running four different speeds. There was a small hill on the course and at least one of the carts would get stuck on the hill every single lap, I’d have to get out and push it over. On the other hand, one of the carts would almost always be running too fast and would be almost jumping over the hill. Lots of kids smashing into each other (and me). Then on the regular carts you’d have a bunch of drunk rednecks trying to play bumper cars. Good times.

PS that place was gross. If you ever ate food from there you are immune to everything.

Lots of great memories of the BR location from the 91,92.

On whim we took our kids there a few summers ago and holy shite it was dump. Half the activities were shut down and the go kart track was like destruction derby. People were crashing into each other left and right and the attendant could give 2 shits.

Played putt putt golf at the one on Airline in Baton Rouge a lot. Pretty sure it’s the same one that’s off Interline, but maybe that’s a newer location.

IIRC, one of my friends had a birthday party there. They served pizza and had a lot of arcade games. I think we did go carts and batting cages too.

ETA: this would have been in the early 1990s.

I’ve never been.

I thought Main Event was more like a Dave and Busters. Less stuff for kids than CS. Guess it’s more of a direct competitor.

They have zip line, laser tag, arcade, bowling, billiards, and at night is more for the adults to hang out eating and drinking.

Loved Celebration Station and Fun Works

Had multiple birthday parties at Celebration Station, got videos of them with the animatronic band. I looked back on the video and kids were like attacking the mascot, now I’m like that’s a person getting their arse beat in there.

Still have 1000s of ticket receipts from the Metairie location.

There were a couple of Jeffery's that worked there over the years. Any one in particular?

Was it Skate Heaven? I think there was 2 spots. There was also an ice rink that I remember when I was younger. No idea the locations on these 2, it was way before I drove or knew where the frick I was when my parents took me somewhere.

Being a lafayette baw, it was kart ranch for us as a kid.

Tons of arcade games and the go karts were great.
