Yes!

NOPD/NOFD/NOEMS already working the uptown route for 2 or 3 parades that night.
Simply not enough manpower to spread out to mid city and uptown at the same time.

Tucks email

On another note, I am closely watching the weather and remain optimistic, but I am already discussing alternate plans. The Extravaganza will still take place at the Marriott Hotel on Saturday, February 10th from 3 P.M. – 8 P.M. regardless if the parade is cancelled. You will be kept in the loop and receive all information concerning potential cancellation and rescheduling of our parade. We will parade in lite rain, so I suggest that you bring a clear poncho. If we are cancelled, I am looking into alternatives, which includes Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, or even the following weekend. Iris and Endymion both have seniority on Tucks, as does all 4 parades scheduled on Sunday, but the city is motivated to have all organizations parade. If the parade is rescheduled and someone from out of town is prevented from riding, we will warehouse his/her throws and there will be a discount for next year’s ride if he/she cannot sell their spot. If the entire parade is cancelled, all throws will be warehoused for next year, and there will be a discount for next year’s dues. I don’t know why I am writing about this because the weather is going to move through and we will parade as scheduled.

It's not like there is one day of rain you are trying to avoid.

Rain is forecast just about every day.

If you move, you could end up with worse weather than your original time.

So if it rolls on Friday it would be the Uptown route

It would have to follow Hermes, Detat and Morpheus. Hopefully it can roll Midcity on it's own.

Yeah, it is best for all involved to roll Saturday.

I wonder what the turnout will be if we roll regular route Friday night.

If we roll Friday, it will almost certainly be Uptown.

I guess the question now, is do we roll through the dome again Saturday for the Extravaganza?

Doubtful. If it's raining, they aren't going to sit us on floats outside the Dome in the rain waiting to get in the Dome.

Not with this one. Looks like weather will be a factor for everything. If it is just steady rain and no thunder/lightning, I would think they can all proceed on schedule.

If you look at rain %'s for Saturday, after 1pm they go down significantly, I am not sure why the Krewe would even consider moving the parade.

They won’t make the call until Friday. Endymion hates moving the parade.
They will hold out as long as they can.
Don’t expect an answer until Friday mid-day/afternoon.
There is almost one thing guaranteed, we’re not riding Sunday. It’s either Friday Night, Saturday or Canceled.

No way you cancel your ride all together. I understand not wanting to roll after Bacchus but to just not ride at all...that would be crazy imho.

That's what I'm looking at. Though you have to have a back up plan in place, the hour by hour looks like we would roll on time Saturday.

It is just too early to know. Hope for the best and be ready for a change. Looks like that is the only course of action.

Because that could change quite a bit in the next couple of days and contingency plans need to be made now, not at 8 am Saturday.

Tucks email was alot more optimistic that what Endy is sending out, and they roll earlier than us.
