Richard Newell is wanted by the New Orleans Police Department in relation to a bigamy investigation. Bigamy is the legal term for when a person is married to more than one person at once, which is a crime under Louisiana law.

Never understood why a guy would do this. Bigamy is the only crime where the elements of the offense and the punishment are one in the same.

I’m guessing bigamy is a crime due to tax implications because being a slut/man whore isn’t illegal

Neither bigamy nor polygamy are "crimes" which justify locking a person in a cage. We really need to get stupid crap like that off the books.
