The officer didn't just randomly lose his yellow vest.

Congrats to him for not having to deal with that crap for a few days.

Bring back the NOPD from the 90’s. Baw would’ve gotten the officer of the month award for his actions.

It’s always the same. They start a huge brawl in a public place, a half dozen others whip out their cellphones and laugh as they take video of people trashing a place and/or beating the shite out of each other, laugh some more if a cop arrives and is overpowered by the crowd…

…but gasp in horror and start shouting, “Hole up!”, and, “Oh shite!”, when one of their own gets body-slammed by a cop who’s spent 10 minutes begging them to break it up.

They truly don’t understand the concept of FAFO, do they?

Resigned for what?

ETA: ohhhh... reassigned, phew.... that makes more sense. But still, considering the situation, seems like a fair action to take.

Did that male civilian punch a cop? I’m actually really impressed that the other 6 cops standing right there didn’t beat the living frick out of him.

Kinda disappointed too. That would have been an automatic beat down a few years ago

There was a time in the very recent past that something like that could justifiably get you killed.

Was she in the scrum? (hint: she was in the thick of it) It's her own fault for being there.

When the cops show up, get the frick out of their way. They are there to clean out the trash and if you're in the way, you become part of the trash they are cleaning out.

It's not rocket science.

What are the odds? A little scholastic scholar.

What would the Vegas odds makers put on this matching up?

He showed major restraint by simply picking her up and extracting her from the situation. No baton. No taser. No arm bar. And no bracelets. Just simply taking out the trash. He should receive a good conduct award for deescalating an explosive situation.
