I'm a huge Alabama fan although I attended Georgia Tech. My dad and my youngest sister went to Alabama. Sadly, my oldest sister went to Awburn.

So your wife and father in law went to Alabama, that's a legitimate reason to root for them you're good

argument ad hominem

When you have no other arrow left in your quiver, Robin.

You pray and hope that your kids go to UGA simply because you wanted to go there.

That's a stupid reason.

Schools change, the UGA that you knew years ago is not the school they would experience.

They might get into Cal Tech or MIT and you want them to settle for UGA.

There's scores of valid reasons for them to possibly go to a different school but you selfishly want them to go to UGA.

I don't have to know your kids to know that your selfishness is still a stupid reason for you to pray they go to UGA.

You're also stupid to say that this subject is not related to the thread, it most certainly is.

So we've now repeatedly established that you are stupid.

And the best you can come up with against me is a personal attack.

When you find yourself down in a hole, step one to a remedy is to stop digging.

(This means "YOU Stop Posting")

tl/dr: If your kids take after you, they ain't getting in UGA.

Although I am an alum...doesn't matter if I wasn't....I prefer college sports over pro sports anyways...and you don't have to be an alum to be a fan....fans are just that...fans! Why do you have to be invested in anything to be a fan? This is not a mortgage, it's a sport...

I'm from up north. After Auburn gave my kid a free ride because of academics, I have over 100,000 reasons to cheer for the Tigers. War Damn Eagle!

I can understand someone cheering for a college team even if they did not attend school there, but still have some kind of connection to it, whether it's that a parent went there or it is the hometown/regional team. I still know a couple of people at work who cheer for teams out of state that have no connection to the school whatsoever but for some reason, that's their team. I don't get that.

So you'd rather pull for mercenaries that only play for money over pulling for guys from the same state or area where you grew up? No thanks. That's like being a Bama fan.

once again...its bitchy and county to act like you know me or my life or my kids through what you read on a message board...you act like a woman...maybe you are a woman...I don't know...but you seem to be sneering down your e-nose at me...and that's bitchy and county...it is what it is.

Because its tradition. My Grandpa taught me as a young lad how to hate Bama and to bleed purple and gold. I honestly can't understand what is so difficult to grasp here...

Can I like non-alumni fans of college teams while at the same time having a bit of a smirk on my face at all of the dump trucks and white Ford F-150 xl work trucks with G magnets on them right now?
