Most bars have been pretty solid. This is to slow down bourbon street & a select few bars that have been drawing big crowds around the city

Toya is saying that the positivity rate has doubled, which is very disingenuous.
At the lowest 7 day rolling average New Orleans did show 2% positivity with testing two weeks ago. Of course, 3 weeks ago we were above 3%. Currently the 7 day is right around 4%.
So what gives? Let me see....
Ah, on 6/19 there was corrected data of -11 cases but tests were added....wait, on 6/18 there were no cases reported either.
So, in order to get her statement true the 7 day rolling average for that period had been reduced to a 6 day average and uses a data correction day to remove cases but add tests.

This does not clarify the whole issue of whether indoor dining/drinking qualifies as an “indoor gathering” whatsoever.
Eta: but going off the definitions in the Nola ready guidelines, it would appear that indoor gatherings would not include indoor dining and drinking at restaurants and bars. But who the frick knows with this city leadership.
