You seem very upset about this. Were you here for MG last year? Its gotten completely out of control. Its basically impossible to cross the street or get across the NG. It needed to be reigned in. They aren't going to fully enforce it anyway so you can continue on with your kegger on St Charles

People have gotten completely out of control with their setups, and then get pissed when you try to walk through as if they own the neutral ground.

I remember riding last year and on Napoleon all you can see is pop up tents. It’s totally out of control.

I’m all for it. Too many people acting like jackasses when I stand on their tarp for 30 seconds waiting to cross the street,
after navigating their fortress of folding chairs, tables, and ice chests.

Some of the best food I smell is while riding in Endymion, between grills and smokers. Black families are going to be pissed, some families bring out pits and BBq all day.

The new orleans council and all politicians are hypocrites!!

No viewing stands for you, but you know damn good and well, they'll build the city viewing stands on St. Charles.

As someone who actually sets spots up every year, what you claim is a fricking myth

So what you are saying is that up and down Napoleon and St. Charles, people don't set up tarps and ladders and claim the 10X20 foot space as their own for 4 and 5 days straight?
And people sit out there the whole time to hold the spots?

Not at all. I'm saying no one did all that and didn't show up right before the parade. That's a myth

Yet there are homeless people living in tents all over the damn city. Makes sense.

Can’t collect fine money off of those people.

Go play pretend castle on Vets. I’m sure they’d love to have you out there.

With the amount of grills they have out their on Mardi Gras day, they would need the national Guard to enforce this.

Good, so does that mean the viewing stands in front of Gallier hall are not going to be there as well or does this law not apply to the city government?

One likely assumes this means janky stands blocking flow on the neutral grounds, not the professional ones erected in the cbd

I guess I am part of a Krew of Chad.

We get there around 7 and set up.

We cook a huge batch of pastalaya and bring a portable gas grill.

We also aren't dicks and we feed and welcome all the neighbors around us.

However, last year they told us as long as we were there with everything, it was ok.

I suppose we will see again, or I'll be going chase some chickens in Mamou or Church Point
