The lowest amount of the entire pandemic.

quote:

LDH Region 1 (NOLA metro area) is reporting 41 people in the hospital with COVID. That's the lowest number this region has ever reported (data didn't begin until late March 2020).

We must continue to wear masks and keep current restrictions in place! If it only saves 1 life.

More people die on Bourbon Street in a weekend than die of COVID in the entire state

Get out get some sun, and Vit D, and this thing is over. Only the old, Nursing home types that are shut in will still suffer....

But did you see what's happening in India??????

Now is not the time to let our guard down. We need to triple mask at this critical juncture in this deadly pandemic!

Teedy says no festivals for you until that drops to 0. It would do it if you folks would just wear your masks for 2 more weeks.

It is absolutely inexcusable to have any restrictions in this city right now. And this bitch is about to run for a 2nd term UNAPPOSED.

If we start calling it the India variant, will it be considered an Asian hate crime?

Those vaccines did more to handle this pandemic than any bar closure or mask.

Why don’t we apply this logic to driving? I’m sure a 5mph speed limit would reduce deaths too.

No India is rather pointedly referring to this as a Chinese scourge. Because it is.

I don’t disagree.

But I also encourage you all to seriously consider one of the vaccines if you have not already. And go about your life as normally as you can.

Even during the surge in Dec/Jan when the state surged to the same hospitalizations as April 2020, metro NO (region 1) wasn’t hit that hard at all.

Region 1
April 2020 Hospitalizations Peak was 1008
January 2021 Hospitalizations Peak was 428
