How long could New Orleans economy survive under prohibition law without any government sponsored breaks on rent/mortgage/other bills?

18 days?

speaking of, i made a comment in a big pro-Bernie group last night about how it would be fascism for a President to just declare no more evictions across the country because there is no legal authority for it underlying the order and that this infringes on the domain of the state/local governments

HOLY shite i now know what a twitter mob is like

Still crappy but they gave me TamiFlu, lung inhaler, and steroid pills to take for the next five days. All the same treatments as if I had the coronavirus but since I didn’t travel to China, Japan, or Korea no corona test could be approved for use.

From my brief, unprofessional scan of twitter, black people are still definitely NOT going against LaTweeta : lol:

Stupid grouper-looking bitch.

Worse than Nagin, FFS.
Arguably worse than Landrieu.

It looks like this refers to legislation that was passed in 2006 in response to challenges faced during the aftermath of Katrina. It talks about all kinds of stuff like pet evacuations, etc. and is interesting to read. Here is 275, introduced by Scalise:

quote:

ACT 275 (HB 760 Scalise) - Prohibits the seizure of firearms from law-abiding citizens during a state of emergency. Allows law enforcement officers to disarm someone when the officer reasonably believes it is necessary for the protection of the officer or anyone else. If an arrest is not made or the weapon seized as part of a criminal investigation, the weapon must be returned.

I also saw this (Martiny is a Jeff Parish Republican, FYI):
quote:

CT 254 (HB 190 Martiny) - Authorizes local governments to enact tougher gun laws than the state during emergencies and disasters in "high-risk" parishes in an effort to prevent looting of gun shops.

There is so much dumb in this thread LMFAO. This wasn't written by the mayor, it is a prewritten, standard state of emergency declaration. It doesn't say she has or will, it says she has the power to. Every mayor/governor signs essentially the same thing when declaring a state of emergency. But muh politics...
