Total disaster of a police organization. A spokesperson that cant form complete sentences or speak clearly with good vocabulary on top of looking like a clown. In a moment where the police should try to inspire confidence, this was the complete opposite.

if/when the folks commit crimes before being caught, do the victims of the crimes have a civil lawsuit against the city?

State Police keeping the local law enforcement as far away from this as possible?

I believe all 4 that have been caught are being transferred to State Prisons, as opposed to jail. They have custody over them now.

How would they have custody over them? Unless you're talking about the ones that have already been convicted.

My money's on Derrick. He's got that Gus Fring, Breaking Bad mastermind look to him. Definitely the HNIC.

Cleary Vanburen. Being related to a President has its benefits

... my money is on Vanburen
You know that name, Vanburen, denotes connections to the Dutch Royal Family ...

Corey Boyd for sure. His eyes are so far apart he can watch his front and sides at the same time.

Looks like they flying them by chopper to Angola.
Wonder if us the taxpayer is paying for all of this or is Landry going to send the total bill to this incompetent bitch in Orleans to pay up, it’s going to be a shite ton of money in overtime hours and man power from different agencies and state police.
Orleans taxpayers should pay for voting her arse in.

Starts at the state level, they didn't move these inmates to other facilities because they're logjammed. Especially those convicted of murder. The prison has inmates sitting there that should be moved but haven't been processed in months.
You are 100% wrong. This is not a state issue. They don’t get moved to state prison until they are convicted and given DOC time. All of the fugitives were still going to trial and have not been convicted. The parishes that keep DOC inmates do it because they want to. They get paid by the state to house them. These are all parish inmates until they are convicted and sentenced.
This is squarely on the sheriff who ignored recommendations by federal monitors to make changes to the jail and DA Williams for not moving cases along faster to the trial phase.

Tate and Vanburen seem to have the best odds. Both were “only” in for burglary and gun charges I believe. Vanburen could also blend into society a lot easier with a quick haircut. Massey’s face tats will get him caught eventually. He also has a rape charge I believe. They definitely want to get the other 3 who all have murder charges. You would figure they’d use most of their resources to track those 3 down first. The other idiots got caught because they went straight back into the city. Miles dumb arse went on IG live.
