Never understood the stereotype that black people eat spicier food.

If you mean oversalt and overseason, maybe. It’s another Afrocentric stereotype based on frick all.

Because Europeans conquered the world in search of spices. And every culture has their own unique cuisine.

In fact, “African American” cuisine is pretty much just borrowed (or appropriated if you want to use their nonsense gobbledygook) from a plethora of other cultures and ethnicities.

Now of course some spices and crops did come from
The African continent, but that’s like a person putting a tire on and claiming they built the car.

It’s a patois, a gumbo of influences.

The large group got out of control, and they’re using the “cops called because of her attire” as a convenient excuse

It's a shame but anyone being honest knows this already.

This is a perfect example of why white peeps don’t understand black culture.

I wish her the best, but you can get pregnant in college. Especially when you dress that way.

UPDATE

JFC, the family is now suing the restaurant.

quote:

La Shawn Butler alleges that the restaurant intentionally inflicted emotional distress on her and her 17-year-old daughter Sanai Butler by attempting to “weaponize” the New Orleans Police Department simply because one of the establishment’s co-owners didn’t like Sanai’s top.
While the NOPD didn’t make any arrests, La Shawn Butler said the owners embarrassed and discriminated against her daughter, who has since been receiving treatment from a clinical psychologist.

quote:

In previous statements, the restaurant’s management said it only called the police on the night in question to ensure customers’ safety during “a verbal altercation” involving “three disruptive, adult patrons.” Nonetheless, the restaurant apologized to “any person who (felt) that Lula discriminated against them based on their attire or race.”

An absolute shame that this is what our country has become. Could not feel worse for Erin and her husband. They are wonderful people who have worked extremely hard to make their restaurant successful only to have it likely fold at the hands of the almighty race card

Not really surprised. They smell a payday.

I got to witness this kind of bullshite at lunch where a black couple started berating a bartender who kept repeating “You asked for a glass of X” while the female of the couple got belligerent and started throwing race cards claiming they were mistreating her because they don’t like “their kind” there.

I guess by “their kind”, she meant obnoxious assholes.

Let’s try stating what I think you mean a little differently:

Clothing style is not a protected class.

Absolute clown show. Judge should toss the case immediately and Lula should sue NOLA/WBRZ for the shite hit job that the original news story was.
