Was that the ordinance that stated Uber Black could come and operate but they would have these ridiculous minimum prices?

Yea but there will be amendments to it introduced at the next council meeting. Both Head and Williams said they have amendments.

I was surprised Williams seemed to come out against it.

All this bitching and moaning by the cab companies is pathetic.

There is a simple solution.... The cab companies create and app and put GPS in their cabs.

I would have no problem taking a taxi if I could pull up an app, call the taxi, and know when it's going to arrive.

Why not evolve instead of complaining... It's called capitalism and America

It took damn near an act of congress for them to be forced to start accepting credit cards.
Baby steps man. Maybe by 2016.

yeah, the cabbies have every opportunity to just become Uber drivers themselves - if they can pass the city background check, theyll certainly pass Ubers.

although, with that said, i do think all Uber drivers should be required to acquire the same permit as a cab driver.

would make sense for Nola to charge each Uber driver a permit fee - that way they can profit as well.

I know you said you worked in CCTV.

But you must have a parent in the cab industry. You tirelessly fight for their broken system.

(I'm the same way with USPS, for the same reason)

I will defend the NOLA cab industry when their cars stop smelling and looking like total complete arse.

If they guaranteed that they will never park it in the left lane on the interstate like all cab drivers do, then I for it

YES!!

Man, what is up with that?

Damn minivan cabs always just doing 65-70 in left lane and don't move.

Absolutely no fricking idea. I always try to block them from getting off at Williams when they cut across 3 lanes suddenly to get off. Not going to the airport this way Mr

I've seen TigerWise. He is the damn near homeless looking guy that drives the mule carriage through the quarter.

I got that.

Where to go for the best Tikka Masala in town? I've never gotten it good here like I did in DC.

I hate Indian food. I was born and raised here. I also hate Burger King because I have family that owns a few. My birthday parties sucked as a child, always at freaking Burger King.

I love that all the NOLA uber fanboys and NOLA haters were silent today while this was taking place. Proves they have nothing at stake and are ignorant to the real issues.

See ya Sept 4th.
