It had some stuff where people tour historical sites related to Hamilton and what not.

I used the app in Washington to find where Hamilton signed the Declaration of Independence

I have never heard this perspective before. Explain yourself, peasant.

Might have something to do with banking?

The consensus among educated decent theater-goin folks was the opposite of your opinion. Shocker.

Saw it in Chicago last year (daughter was dying to see it because of the soundtrack).

I have a BA and Masters in History and was concerned about the "license" this would take, but it was remarkably accurate in the story. The fact that George Washington was black was irrelevant (the actor did a great job).

It was a very enjoyable experience.

I'm no history buff but my daughter's middle school history class did a unit on comparing the accuracy of Hamilton to actual events and she said it was pretty accurate.

But a real history buff laid the "fact" wood on ole efrad. Take that, Tinfoil weirdo.

Honestly, if someone has a remote liking of musicals and doesn't allow any outside theater discussions to pre-poison it there is a 95% chance you will enjoy it. To call it revisionist outside of the color of the actors' skin is pretty far off the mark.

I’ve seen my share of shows at the Seangar and a few in Vegas. I’ve enjoyed most of the.

I personally haven’t seen Hamilton but my mom and wife have season tickets to the Seangar and they’ve seen just about everything that comes through NOLA and neither of them were overly impressed.

My dad on the other hand got up and left. he said there was too much rap

They also didn’t really sugar coat some of the things he did. He was clearly ambitious to a fault, cheated on his wife, etc.

I saw it on Broadway 2 months ago. It was well done and I enjoyed it, but it did not live up to its hype AT ALL for me. I wouldn't see it a second time --and I have seen many shows 8 or more times, but this won't be one of them.

I’d like to go just to hear the ‘Not throwing away my shot’ song. Get pumped up ready to kick some monarchy arse!

At least it’s getting younger people interested in history.
