I think legally that is how it has to be set up post-ACA, again a distinction with no difference. I think there is no doubt that health insurance has paid out more as a result of COVID and can meet state Insurance Commission regulations for an increase in premiums. How much of it can be actuarially supported and how much is meant for social engineering (ie extortion from some POVs) is something that could and should be investigated.

I like how your mind works, this is spot on. I would add that this is exactly why the people of Louisiana need to hold their elected commissioner of insurance (Donelon) to the fire with this. He is in a position to disapprove these arbitrary and draconian factors to the base rate health insurance filings for major med carriers (fully insured products), and even with large employers of 100 or more employees that self-insure for major med, this is still a regulated product as all self-insurers still need a licensed TPA to administer, licensed excess loss carriers to provide stop-loss coverage, and admitted reinsurance syndicates to provide the Excess of Loss or Transfer Risk reinsurance treaties.

I can't stress this enough.

THAT'S THE QUESTION I'M ASKING

People shrug off the taste and smell stuff. I guess if I had to pick two of my five senses to give up, those would be the ones. BUT IF people were going temporarily deaf and blind instead would it be a bigger deal?

I love how get the shot or show a negative test, or get the shot or pay some extra or find another insurance has somehow turned into being FORCED to get the shot.
Because nobody wants to have to go get a covid test (when they haven't been exposed or have any symptoms) every time they want to go out to eat or have a few drinks at a bar.

Plenty of studies have already shown that people who are unvaxed but previously had and recovered from covid are better protected than someone vaxed but never had covid. If its really about health, then why don't they issue covid passports for people who've recovered from a confirmed case of covid?

Time to review your coverage, and use every last damn bit of benefits you have. Already told my wife they pull that nonsense with our plan I'll be spending tens of thousands on preventative care.

My entire family already caught covid due to her employer(hospital) and their shitty protective measures for employees. They were giving employees one mask per week, only giving an N95 when caring for a confirmed case not a presumed case etc...it was all bullshite and landed me in the hospital sick as shite thanks to their negligence.

Then they turn around a forced employees to get the shot to "protect their patients". They can piss off and shove that shot, thanks to them I don't need it.

Well yeah. You can function without taste and smell. The average person can't function without their hearing or sight.

I'm not getting the point you're trying to make.

They have, and lost...

Judge ruled employees have a choice to work at the facility or not, thus not "forced" to take it.

quote:

federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit brought by employees of Houston Methodist over the health system's COVID-19 vaccination mandate for workers, marking the first decision of its kind by a court regarding such a requirement at a health system.

The lawsuit, filed May 28 by Jennifer Bridges, RN, and 116 other workers, argued that the mandate is illegal and forces workers to get an experimental vaccine to keep their jobs.

But U.S. District Judge Lynn N. Hughes ruled June 12 that the health system did not violate state or federal law or public policy with its requirement

Old People Solution:
Scan someone's, then print a copy, Whiteout name, put your name, scan back in. done.

New People Solution:
Or just photoshop it
