Something to keep in mind about forging vax documents is that it is a crime BUT a fairly low level one some might feel is worth the potential squeeze of a slap o the wrist and loss of a job. The real thing to keep in mind in your scenario it is also theft. Whatever the charge in your state (theft by deception etc) that $100 you are not paying after forging documents/lying is a crime. If it builds up to whatever the felony requirement is it could produce real long term issues for future employment depending on the company's stance. I am not suggesting how you proceed but be aware of that "Sword of Damocles" that is poised to potentially chop the proverbial head off your career.
