Must have only refunded Jeff. Parish residents. The one and only camera ticket I ever got was at Causeway and Vets when heading toward N.O. on Vets. Never got a refund on that one.
You may want to check with the LA Treasury Unclaimed Property (their website) to see if you have owed money out there.
1.3 Million in unclaimed refunds (NOLA.com)

Nope. It's $75
From what I've read, it's on a sliding scale and goes up as your speed is increased.
My wife got one by a motorcycle cop about 5 years ago and it was just shy of $200 then. Maybe cop issued tickets are higher, not sure.

24! You're lucky you didn't kill someone! (sarcasm font). It's all about the kids, right? frick the city and their stupid road tax cameras. Since they changed the cushion, I go 19 in a school zone because i don't trust the calibration of their stupid cameras.

It would be helpful if you could post the link to the ruling that overturned it...dude
I'm not making any predictions or hoping that it happens, I'm just looking at previous rulings here and elsewhere that have ordered cities to refund payments. If such an order/judgment is ever issued and made final it would get in line with the other judgments against the city.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll do that.

Argue that you were not speeding. Go to court and tell the judge that you have a right by the 6th amendment to face your accuser.

My speedometer is not even really that calibrated.

I got one in the mail last week for my wife going 24/20.
You and Y.A. should just consider this as a tax on stupidity for living in N.O. in the first place.

just put your car in neutral and push it through next time

What’s sad is you are going to have more people concerned about their speedometers than watching the road. I set the cruise on 20 when I hit them. I got caught once at 7:02 in the morning going 5 over.

Was answering the OP, genius. Don’t think he said anything about it being on a Sunday. Give zero fricks what you do about your tickets. Carry on.

Don’t pay it, end of story, I haven’t paid any of mine.
