Nah, all that rigamarole would be a bigger cost to me than paying the goofy $75 fine here.

I have to physically measure my tires with a tape, and calibrate my speedo to that height when I get new tires. I have to do it again when they get 1/2 tread depth, and again when they get close to needing replacement.
From stock to current tire size is a 1.6mph difference at 20. That's enough for a ticket. From new to bald at my current size, it's a 0.75mph difference. Now, you add in the fact that there is also a 5% threshold on a brand new vehicle, and I'm gonna run into problems

Speedometer is one thing and the margin for error on the radar is another.
My understanding is that speedometers err on the side of faster speed (i.e you're seeing numbers on your speedometer lower than actual speed) and that the margin for error on radar detection of speed can be as high as 2 mph over your actual speed. I believe the margin for error with radar is the reason for the 4 mph threshold that was established by the city upon the recommendation of the camera company. There have been plenty of local attorneys trying to get a class certified and the recent change could really help that effort.
In its efforts for a short term cash grab, the city is going to be is a bad spot when they are ordered to refund those payments.

Parting thought - go 20 in a school zone as posted.
Hey genius, that’s great advice.
But what about people like me, who have gotten *multiple* camera tickets for going 24 in a 20 in a school zone ON A SUNDAY... when no one (that i know of) is in school? What are your words of wisdom for me?? I’ll hang up and listen.

Right?
I had no delusions of that sort.. i simply paid all the oh-so-egregious tickets issued to me by the camera racket, sold my house and got the hell out of that city as fast as i could.. I enjoy NOLA far more as a visitor anyway.

I paid them while i was living there still.. i tend to park in the CBD a lot for Saints games, Pels, concerts etc and didnt want to get booted.
I still have a couple left though, that will not be getting paid.

If he got a School Zone ticket it will be over $200.

I know Jefferson Parish refunded people of their camera ticket payments. But we all know NOLA is a different animal.

Must have only refunded Jeff. Parish residents. The one and only camera ticket I ever got was at Causeway and Vets when heading toward N.O. on Vets. Never got a refund on that one.

I don't. I know the city was planning to appeal the decision, which I imagine is still working its way through the 4th circuit.
