Amazon won't face, and rightfully so, near the amount of backlash that H&M did, because these products were being sold by a 3rd party company that utilized Amazon as their platform. Plus, Amazon also doesn't have to worry about their stores being vandalized either since they don't truly have a great retail presence.

Monkey one was a reach. This is one I'd have never touched as a major company. Maybe at some backwoods t-shirt shop. But as Amazon, I'd have not put that up.

The risk to reward ratio is just not there. Amazon made the right call.
But one would think they would have a better way to police their 3rd party vendors and what they actually sell on Amazon's site.
