The only thing worse than a Texan who loves talking about why they're so great is a New Yorker who loves talking about why they're even greater.

There's a reason there was a popular movie from the late 70s with the title "Escape from New York."

Grew up in a suburb of NYC. I could hit the powerball tomorrow and would not even consider moving back to NYC.

It's an awesome place to visit for a week ( I truly encourage people to do that) but living there will poison your soul.

For all of it's faults, I love living in Louisiana

While I do agree that both states are 1a and 1b when it comes to arrogance, nothing even comes close to the arrogance of somebody from NYC.

Already discussed, already determined to be stupid because his comparison is just NYC to ALL of Texas, which is a false dichotomy. When comparing the whole state of New York to the whole state of Texas, it's immediately apparent to anyone who has been there that upstate New York is every bit as redneck as rural Texas. The only thing urban and sophisticated about New York, the state, is a smattering of islands off the coast known as New York City.

Smart people live where it doesn't suck.

Unless you have a really good job, why would you deal with subfreezing temps when the alternative is 75 hi/55 lo?

So I've never been to NY so I can't comment...but I mean there's no way this can be accurate?

I would take New York over Texas because you don't have to deal with many wealthy Bible Thumpers. The hypocrisy of some of those assholes in Texas is off the charts. You mix the two and it is intolerable. Shitty weather too. Texas sucks arse.

Actually, I have been around both a lot. The arrogance of a New Yorker is incredible.

I've worked with too many Hicks from Texas who couldn't follow any damn orders because "that's not the way we do things in Texas." They get fired at a much higher level than other states.

As a New York native, I prefer Texas and it's not even close. I admire both for different reasons and am proud both are two of our glorious 50 states. This kind of Culture War red/blue shite appeals to really stupid people.
